Cottage Garden, Blakeney, North Norfolk

This pretty cottage garden provides outside space perfectly in keeping with the old flint holiday cottage accommodation.
A bespoke flint and brick wall has been created to replace a wooden fence and to complement an existing flint garden wall and the cottage walls. Using niches and arches within the wall structure adds interest and provides a resting place for a glass of wine or a candle.
A sea urchin mosaic built into the cobbled floor reflects the coastal location of the cottage and the reclaimed oak arbour provides a handy place to sit and enjoy the garden.
The cottage garden perennial planting has been supplemented with shrubs for year-round interest.
