The owners of this large garden wanted an informal garden to attract wildlife and seating areas to sit and enjoy the sun and the view of the brook.
We have added structure with a curvy lawn area bordered by flower beds and wilder, rough grass areas. The planting includes species to attract birds and butterflies and a reed bed has been created near the shoreline.
A large patio near the house provides space for a table and chairs. The patio is made from a variety of materials, many of which were already in the garden, such as curvy roof tiles and the floor bricks.
A deck overhanging the shoreline was created to provide a secluded seating area at the bottom of the garden.
